A rare little piece of the sea, shaped slowly by time and tide.

Tideline features a beautiful piece of genuine sea glass discovered on the shores of Vane Tempest Beach in Seaham, County Durham. Its soft blue-grey colour is beautifully translucent, with a delicate pale line running through the glass — almost like a wave frozen in motion.

Seaham is renowned for its sea glass, but truly distinctive pieces like this are never guaranteed. The combination of its unusual colouring, natural frosting and unique internal marking makes this a particularly special find.

We can never know exactly where a piece of sea glass began its journey — only that it was once something else, before being lost to the sea and transformed by years of waves, sand and salt.

Now, its journey continues in a new form.

A reminder that even the marks left behind can become part of something beautiful.
